Healing that goes deeper than the surface

Relational, compassionate therapy for trauma, anxiety, and the patterns that keep you stuck.

Do you ever find yourself thinking…

“In order to be loved, I have to make myself into someone else.”

“I’ll keep myself small so that others don’t think I’m too much.”

“Wanting and expecting things leads to disappointment.”

“If I stay busy, I feel fine, but when things get quiet, I panic.”

“If I keep achieving, I’ll earn love and connection.”

“My needs and wants are a burden for others.”

If these resonate with you, you are not alone. They are survival strategies and learned responses to experiences where your needs, emotions, or sense of self did not feel safe, seen, or welcome.

Over time, these patterns can begin to feel like who you are. But they are not the whole story.

Therapy offers a space to understand where these patterns came from, and to begin building a different relationship with yourself. One where your needs matter. Where you belong without shrinking. Where you are worthy of love, not because you earned it, but simply because you are.

How We Work Together

Kendra draws on several evidence-informed modalities, woven together to meet you where you are.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

IFS is an evidence-based, non-pathologizing approach centered in compassion. Through gentle self-exploration, it helps you identify, understand, and show kindness toward every part of yourself, softening survival patterns that no longer serve you, and releasing burdens you have been carrying for a long time.

Somatic Therapy

Somatic therapy brings the body into the conversation. Where many approaches work top-down, starting with thoughts and behaviours, this is bottom-up, tuning into how distress lives in the body first. This gives access to pain, trauma, and burdens that may not yet have words.

Relational Therapy

Relational therapy is grounded in the belief that healing happens within consistent, supportive, and attuned relationships. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space to notice, explore, and ultimately heal unhelpful relational patterns and attachment wounds.
